Modern trends of metal products market establish the necessity of ensuring the guaranteed quality of the manufactured products. Our company implies much effort to maintain the high level of quality of the manufactured goods.

The essential reforms at the company's quality management system were initiated in 1996 when the company's Quality Assurance Department was created. Further, the development of the quality assurance policy at CJSC LUGCENTROKUZ was marked by the following stages:

in August 1997 the company's quality management system was first certified, and in November 2000 recertified by technical supervision authority TUV-CERT for compliance with requirements of ISO 9001:1994;

in June 2007 the quality management system was certified by technical supervision authority TUV-CERT for compliance with requirements of ISO 9001:2000;

in December 1999 at there has been arranged the company's testing laboratory, accredited in national system of standardization, certification and metrology for performing tests of mechanical and chemical properties of metal;

in July 2000 the company's quality management system (QMS) was certified by Association of American Railroads for compliance with standard AAR M-1003, alongside wherewith, the manufacture of wagonand locomotive axles was approved in accordance with the requirements of AAR M-101. In 2003, 2006 and 2009 the QMS wa sre-certified by Association of American Railroads;

in June 2008 the company's QMS successfully underwent certification for compliance with European Norms for manufacture of finish-machined axles type BA 002;

in October 2008 the company acquired the certification of State Certification System UkrSEPRO in respect of serial manufacture of rough-machined axles type РУ1Ш, and in May 2009 - also in respect of shock-absorbing devices Ш-2-В-90. In December 2009 the company also obtained certification of UkrSEPRO for a newly mastered type of product - brake-jaw type "F";

in 2009 the company's QMS has successfully accomplished a range of certification procedures in Register of Certification at Federal Railway Transport (RSFGT) for manufacture of the following types of products: helical coiled springs, shock-absorbing devices ПМКП-110 (type T1), rough-machined and finish-machined axles type РУ1Ш, wheel-sets type РУ1Ш-957-Г;

in 2010 the range of company's products certified by RSFGT was updated by including locomotive rough-machined axles per drawing ААБЕ.715412.027.

Currently the company is in process of preparation to certification of QMS in accordance with requirements of IRIS by technical supervision authority TUV-CERT. Also, the strategic plans of the company include further certificaton of manufacture of several types of axles per European norms, as well as receiving supplier's approval of Railways of different European countries.

The accredited testing center of CJSC LUGCENTROKUZ is capable to perform the following kinds of manufactured product control:

mechanical tests on tensile machine with 2, 5 and 10 t effort;

yield strength tests on pendulum impact testing machine with 300 J energy content (both by temperatures above and below freezing);

hardness testing by Rockwell, Wickers and Brinell methods;

metallurgical tests:
- macrostructure tests (incl. steel chemical discontinuity control by sulphur imprints);
- microstructure tests (incl. control of heat treatment quality and material cleanness);

non-destructive testing of products:
- ultrasonic;
- magnetic-powder.

chemical analysis of material by spectral method (up to 16 elements);

calibration of linear-corner gauging instruments.
